General Note: Part of the CWA Pioneer Interviews Collection. Consists of an interview of Charles Naeglin, an early day resident of La Plata County, Colorado, describing a marshal of the town of Las Animas City named Port Stockton, who attacked an African-American barber and escaped a posse sent to capture him. Stockton appears to have been killed later in New Mexico during the 1880s.
