The collection consists of over 3,000 artifacts excavated from Fort Garland by Dr. Richard Goddard, Adams State University, Alamosa, Colorado. The artifacts include faunal bone, beads, metal, nails, leather, wood, buttons, percussion caps, adobe and more dating the between 1858-1883, when the fort was active.
