This letter is made of a rectangular piece of white faded glossy paper. The letterhead at the top is blue printed ink, which says, "DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR/WASHINGTON." The date is March 9, 1880. The letter is to Capt. Page from E.P. Hanna. There is black script on one side, which reads: "Please secure for the Secretary Ouray's autograph just after the word "Brady" on these photographs, and oblige, Yours very truly, E.P. Hanna"
